The Founders
Two Hearts One Mission is founded and currently run by two best friends who both saw a need that wasn’t being fulfilled.

Co-Founder | dawn@twoheartsonemission.org
As a founder of Two Hearts One Mission, Dawn is on a life-long journey to support individuals and families impacted by the justice system. Her path to this work comes directly from her own life. As a formerly incarcerated woman who lost two of her beloved sons, Dawn understands from personal experience what it means to carry immense grief, face reentry, and rebuild from the ground up.
After the passing of her second child, Dawn began going back inside prison walls with various nonprofits to facilitate healing workshops. That work continues today, and it keeps her connected to why this organization exists. She sees and understands firsthand how many people are navigating loss, family separation, and personal transformation without enough support around them, and she strives to fill that gap.
Her work includes prison programming, reentry support, mentorship, and community advocacy. She is also a Human Services student at California State University, Fullerton, building on the experience she already carries with the education to go further. Dawn started Two Hearts One Mission because she lived the experience she now serves. She knows what it feels like to need support, and she knows how much it matters when someone believes in you. That is the spirit she brings to every person and every community she works with.
